This workshop will provide the participants with an understanding of the meaning of signs and use them in context.  There is more than one correct sign or group of signs that can be used to express the meaning of an English word or words.  Participants will be introduced to multiple meanings.  They will gain practical and experiential (hands-on) understanding by exploring standardized signs.  Furthermore, the participants will practice and develop expressive skills with meaning-based words.

Participants will be able to distinguish multiple meanings of words/signs and phrases/sentences; recognize lexical, phrasal, sentential, and textual meanings; distinguish nouns and verbs; create signs/words naturally, accurately and clearly; and, provide specific feedback during practice while applying the levels of meaning to use.
