Theatrical Interpreting in a School Setting

This workshop will provide participants with an introduction to theatrical interpreting.  Dialogue will cover basic needs involved in interpreting plays, such as placement, lighting and script development.  Participants will learn strategies to help them achieve a successful interpreted performance in a school setting.  Issues of interpreting other art forms (movies, videos, museum tours, dance performances, field trips to cultural venues, etc.) will be discussed.

A good preparation for the ASL Storytelling series, Frozen Text Interpreting, and Interpreting Children's Stories workshops!
