Activity Description:

Lack of knowledge of deaf education by K-12 interpreters can result in frustrations, misunderstandings, and poor interpretations.  This workshop will discuss fundamental educational issues connected with hearing loss.  Participants will attend to and participate in various topics consequential to the understanding of the deaf child in a holistic manner, child development, cultural/social/linguistic issues, and educational interpreting adaptations.
