The "chunking" is done at syntactic or semantic boundary. You act as one of the interpreters for a 2 day seminar. (international business) communication.  The beginning consists of a portion labeled: "Pre-assignment Speaker Information."  It demonstrates "chunking" how to hold information, finish a whole thought or concept before signing it.  However, it seems to stop mid-sentence or mid-thought. The breaks were not timed well at all.

Ethical Standards and Behavior
This is a great tape!  This is a tape which looks at the problems on issues that interpreters face re: ethics/professional behavior.  The question is asked: define ethics.  The definitions differ; the panel attempts to distinguish between ethical behavior and professional behavior.  It is a must for all who are in the field. It is a good demonstration of the on-going controversy surrounding these issues.

Freelance Interpreting
Questions dealt with on tape:  is freelance interpreting the best goal for all, how realistic is it to have as your goal (to become a freelance interpreter), and what is the future of freelance interpreting?  Informative tape, variety of presenters on panel.
